InnoVal Project (Innovative Assessment Methods for Validation) gathers 6 partner organisations from 5 EU countries and an Associate Partner (Bertelsmann Stiftung) to work towards the realisation of valid & reliable assessment methods that would allow all learners to have a chance at validation.
Innoval has six specific objectives and through them it adresses four main policy areas in line with European Union’s priorities: 1) Transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications to facilitate learning, employability and labour mobility; 2) Enhancing access to training and education for all through C-VET (continuing education & trainings); 3) Strengthening the recruitment, selection and induction of Educators; 4) Integration of refugees
The first stage of InnoVal Project will review the state of play regarding the use of non-traditional assessment methods across Europe, while focusing on the needs of specific target groups such as refugees and long-term unemployed. The research phase will lead to the collection of 60 case studies which will set the basis for the development and piloting of a Training Programme on the implementation of innovative assessment methods, organised around Open Educational Materials and targeted at validation practitioners.
